Review on 🔑 Enhance Home Safety and Hygiene with Lido Keyed Entry Lever: Microban Antimicrobial Protection & SmartKey Security in Polished Brass by Mark Tarnowski

I'm writing this review for all the different versions of this lock I've bought and had to replace. So please excuse me if you see this more than once. But since I didn't know where people would start, I figured it would be best to put it in all places, just to be on the safe side. Seems like a lot of people have had good luck with this lock (although I'm curious what people think, or if they've had similar problems after owning it for a while). And there's definitely something nice about the lock: it looks good, it has multiple finishes, and the SmartKey idea seems like a good idea. But I've had no luck with mine, and if you read other Revain reviews and what people have written on other sites, you'll see that the problem I'm having is not isolated. If you do decide to try this lock, at least read the negative reviews to get an idea of what might happen (although obviously this doesn't happen to everyone). I have three security doors that require both handles and mortise locks. So I bought 3 of these handle locks and 3 of the Kwikset 980 double cylinder deadbolt with antique brass SmartKey. I also have 5 doors in my house that require handle and deadbolt locks (that's 10 more locks so I have 1 of this set for my garage Kwikset 992 Juno Entry Knob and Double Cylinder Deadbolt Combo Pack with SmartKey in Satin Nickel and 4 purchased from this set for the rest of the doors Kwikset Signatures Tustin Lever SmartKey Single Cylinder Combo Pack in Satin Nickel Finish #991TNL15SMTCPK4 16 locks total I have replaced 10 regular door keys with a SmartKey (after reading they don't work with regular shop keys) .and 9 security door locks on another SmartKey (9 instead of 6 as 3 of those locks were twin cylinders) in the first few months assuming I wasn't doing too badly then I gradually noticed some of the locks weren't working anymore the key and it was very random.Some of the main door locks used a key.Others were screen door locks ssers who used a different key Some of them were deadbolt locks and some were handle locks. In one case, one side of the double cylinder continued to function even though the other side of the double cylinder stopped working. In fact, a few times I was locked in front of the front door and had to enter through the back door. When my 3rd or 4th lock stopped working, I called Kwikset and they sent me a replacement and equivalent traditional locks to replace the SmartKey locks (which I'm very grateful for, but that's 16 locks that I replace twice each had to, which took quite a long time). Overall, this technology seems unreliable at best, and at the very least, I recommend that you do NOT install all of your doors with SmartKey locks (just so you know you have a traditional lock that always works). I also wouldn't recommend putting SmartKey locks on your double cylinder doors as the only thing worse than locking is locking in an emergency.
