I think I've managed 10 burns from each disc so far - no signs of failure or damage yet. The PS3 media server is a drag on Win 8 machines so yes I burn things onto these discs for playback on PS3 when I don't feel like watching with a software player on a laptop and via HDMI on a TV . Just a note - it took about 4.5 hours to format Imgburn on each drive for the first time. So plan some time for it. The write speed is 2.1x at around 9.2MB/s 1.5 hours for a full disc burn. It takes about 5 seconds to quickly erase an entire disc. Therefore, it is ideal when the drive has been formatted for the first time.
