I currently use these speakers in the rear ("bed") of my Jeep CJ-7 (now called the Wrangler). They replaced a set of "marine-grade" speakers that were said to be waterproof but rusted within a year. The Pyramid speakers have now been running for about 8 months without issue and show no signs of slowing down. I didn't put grates on them to make them easier to clean) and heavy wear and tear you'd expect from any off-road jeep. I have to point out that they are not in the range of a real subwoofer in terms of sound, but rather replace a woofer or midrange driver. They have a muted high frequency range and don't have the power of a real subwoofer. However, they have little space in a high-quality sound system. But for the price they are very good and I recommend them to all music lovers who want a cheap sound system. I particularly recommend them as rear speakers, as they don't produce clear highs and voices can sound muffled.
