After reading and looking at the reviews of this flashlight, I wasn't expecting much. The cover will sit to make it work. Not the end of the world, but it gets better. It seems the mount is for rimless tanks only. 2) The Bluetooth control app, while easy to install and configure, takes some time to figure out how to use. It's a bit very user-friendly, but it does everything you need once you figure out how to use it. 3) The default lighting settings are terrible, you have to make your own adjustments. They are too strong in the wrong spectra. 4) If the light loses power it won't turn back on until you connect it via the app as if all settings weren't stored internally with a capacitor and it doesn't remember to reconnect to your phone. Now for the good stuff. 1) has much more power than credit. I can cook ATP with this thing if I need to. I haven't measured the nominal value but the 10g pico has it set to I and gives a quick ramp even at 60% Vb and 8% white. I have no doubt that this light can be used on tanks up to 18" deep as long as you keep the speed at 2/3 the top of the tank. 2) The propagation of light is greatly underestimated. Most inexpensive flashlights have 90* lenses and 120* lenses really shine. I have sps up to one side of the tank near the top and it is caked up, can be hooked up in just 2 weeks with 2 component dosing. Overall I think this is a great light. Enough shimmer to give the effect of a cheap disco ball. The swivel mount for easier access to the tank is great and you will use it every day. There could be a little more panning, but I can swing one way and access that half and then swing to the other side the other way. No matter how low that lantern is above the tank, it's a must-have, and it has it. There's very little shade anywhere, and considering this is a 20" tank with a 5" light mounted just 6" above the surface, I'm inclined to think that even the 120 -inch lenses are a bit of an understatement. I dropped water on all light problems. The mount has many adjustments to accommodate any size or shape of tank you will be using it on. I wouldn't hesitate to use 3 of these in a 40g per bit breeder. The "blue" color is not the usual blue color you find under other light sources. In most cases it is a mixture of white and green. in this world it is not so. This is your light blue spectrum and blue is your royal blue, so don't limit yourself to that when designing your own profiles. FYI, the reds are way too strong and I recommend not using them at all unless you enjoy growing algae. I am now using 100% VBC with no reds and 8% whites, having started at 60% while the corals acclimate to the tank. You have all the features of HD Primes, Kessil and Radion xr with the ability to set the specific intensity. , Spectra with custom time that allows you to zoom in and out. If you want, you can even adjust when each color spectrum starts its rise in the Pro settings. For example I use vb for just one hour, increase to 100% until 5pm, then increase white to 8%, then at 10am all together decrease to 5% blue moonlight for two hours, followed by a dark rest period. As such, I only use white colors when I'm around to inspect a tank, and that's just about enough for my preferences. That. The only problem is that you probably need to run max white to increase the value.
