Tuff fabric, not the usual plastic/ rubber.

These are very durable. I was looking for something that would not crack at the connection point. These showed they were bite proof from dogs and cats & held up to heavy use. They have lived up to that so far. The material they are made from seems very strong, not the usual plastic. The available colors are great They can be co- ordinated to the room.
