I have been using Plaid Gallery glass instant lines for over 10 years. When I received them they didn't have the same base or density in the strips. I've only recently started using these guides so I have no experience with the old version which is said to be better than some. For my purposes they are quite suitable. I use them as false guides in my stained glass projects and they look really good. You have to be careful not to stretch them (they will shrink and get too small!) and not overdo it or they won't stick well and the glass has to be very clean.
