It's actually VERY POWERFUL and actually works pretty well DURING the day. If you know how to use light and now increase your ISO to ISO 50, you can take very effective shots. My batteries are 2400 mAh. They lasted FOREVER. I post 1/1 full clap. Let me just say that you can get professional recordings without the need for a super expensive 'studio light' as they call it. Flash works well at 9-10 for what you need unless you need 500 watts of power in the studio. Now next comes actual performance. This thing will eat those gels, pop them and not use that stupid plastic crap to ship with, it'll burn away with enough pops, especially if your production is fast. However, the resulting colors are amazing. a bit picky on mini gels but they work!. LAST, this thing is very tight to rotate, don't hold the camera and rotate it because it will rip your camera's hot shoes to pieces. Grab the bottom of the flashlight body and twist it around the top. That's the only thing that doesn't bother me at all. If you need a flash, this is the only one I've ever gotten. In fact I will be ordering another one to match this one because it clears my Altura photo brand which is smaller and the light is so dim at full power it completely drowns out this one. .
