I don't have much experience with whetstones but I really like this set, I have the stones for the knives I make and also for most of my knife collections and swords used. as many of them were blunt. The stones took a little getting used to as you need to be able to hold a consistent angle to get a good edge, but once you get the hang of it it works very well. Have all my blades in order, many of them are better than their original edges.
