I was struggling to get my new headset to work with my laptop for video conferencing and remote work. It works with some desktop apps but not others. Browsing the manufacturer's website, I found this gem in the FAQ section: Can I pair a Jabra Bluetooth device with my computer? No, we do not recommend pairing your Jabra Bluetooth device directly to your computer. Jabra Bluetooth headsets are optimized for use with other Bluetooth devices such as smartphones or tablets. They are not optimized for direct use with a computer. We cannot guarantee device performance or provide support for any performance issues that may result. When you pair your Jabra Bluetooth device with your computer, it may work for audio streaming but not for call control, which many computers don't support. . Also, the sound quality may vary depending on the computer model. --- I find this useless because it overlooks the fact that most computers, including my work laptop, support bluetooth. What this really means is that the manufacturer has invested little if any development effort to support users like me who primarily use computers. I wish I had known that beforehand. If you plan to use this bulky headset with your phone or tablet I'm sure it will work great. If you intend to use it for work from home I would recommend a different product.
