No on demand ANC

Thought I might switch to reusable headphones with improved noise isolation. This is not a replacement for office calls. Active noise cancellation doesn't work during a call, so both you and the other person hear all the surrounding noise. The speech intelligibility is also not as good as with my Plantronics Voyager Focus UC. 85h makes my voice sound muffled to the receiver. It has a tight sound for listening to music. ANC works well for low droning background noise (when not on the phone)…

Noise cancellation stopped working after two months

Before purchasing this product, I noticed some issues with no noise cancellation during a phone call and overheating in the comments. But the truth is, this problem goes far beyond what people have described. After two months without heavy use, the noise-cancellation stopped working a few seconds after activation and the mode switch became unresponsive. I could have bought from Sony or Bose for the same money, but I trusted Jabra, which I now very much regret. I'm trying to contact support but…

I had to stop at Bose

When I needed to replace my QC25s I was going to use the QC35s but based on checking the wire cutters I decided to replace them with them. There were no cables in the first box that arrived. I wasn't sure if Jabra wanted me to ship everything back to Revane or if they could just send cables. After 4 days they finally sent the return form to the seller. Why did it take 4 days to send the letterhead? So I traded a pack with Revain. Now that I've had them for a few weeks I'm having a few issues…

Warning, not intended for use with computers!

I was struggling to get my new headset to work with my laptop for video conferencing and remote work. It works with some desktop apps but not others. Browsing the manufacturer's website, I found this gem in the FAQ section: Can I pair a Jabra Bluetooth device with my computer? No, we do not recommend pairing your Jabra Bluetooth device directly to your computer. Jabra Bluetooth headsets are optimized for use with other Bluetooth devices such as smartphones or tablets. They are not optimized for

Too smart for her own good.

Pros: • Comfortable enough to wear all day • Battery lasts several days • Solid build quality • Intuitive hardware controls • Great ANC (while running) • Good sound quality Poor: • Listening modes and moments can only be controlled via mobile app (no desktop app, no response to hardware listening mode button when only connected to computer) • App doesn't recognize headphones half the time, requires restarting one or the other or both • Why is listening mode a thing, and Why is it the default…

I would give them a 4.5 if they were an option

I've been using them for a few weeks and have really enjoyed them! . The headband is completely unobtrusive on the head, the ear cushions are nice and soft but can heat up a bit faster than some other headphones I've used. Clamping force can be a little more than others, but I've never found it uncomfortable. They feel solid, the hinges where the earcups fold are metal and don't feel flimsy. Style. I personally like the look of the titanium black circuit. The fabric gives the headphones a nice…

Jabra Elite 85h (very happy)

I was lucky enough to get a deal on the Revain ($192) for the Jabra Elite 85h. I've looked at Sony 1000XM3, Bose QCII and even ordered a Sennheiser 450BTNC which killed my head and ears. My requirements were: Bluetooth 5.0 USB-C, fast charging, active noise cancellation, Hi-Fi sound (AAC or APTX), battery life (40 hours). Best up to 200€. The Jabra Elite 85h has it all. AAC was added in a firmware update last year (version 1.41). So AAC is not listed in the original specifications. After…

Normal headphones while working. Lots of problems

The noise cancellation isn't as good as I expected. The noise from the highway doesn't work (every day I walk on the highway). It is useless to the sound of a jackhammer, motorcycle and other similar noises. It mostly works on the plane, but a faint hum is still audible. Hearing isn't very good because it cuts out some important sounds. He has a bad habit of turning off at random, mostly around other cars, like he's being stolen via Bluetooth. Despite all the silly little issues, the real…

BEAUTIFUL SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL

I am very pleased to write this review of the Jabra Elite 85h Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones. First of all: Who am I and what are my qualifications? Thanks for the question. I've been in radio since 1986. At work, I've been using headphones for 5+ hours a day, 240+ days a year for over 30 years. I've used a variety of headphones, although I generally found what I liked and stuck with it. So maybe my list isn't as long as you might expect. I think it's safe to say that I have some…
