I used to use the standard concentration of Persil and bought twice the original scent when it was on sale. I found that Persil foams a lot at the recommended dosage and is difficult to wash out after washing. On my new large-capacity washing machine, I reduced the amount of detergent to two teaspoons of Persil concentrate for a medium load, 10-15 pounds of laundry. I have good stain and odor removal plus almost no foaming and the detergent washes out. Wet clothes still smell faintly of perfume after a single rinse, but that's enough for our family, where nobody is sensitive to detergents. I don't like pouring small amounts from big bottles - I'm too clumsy. I use a condiment bottle (which you could use as a ketchup squeezing container) to hold a smaller amount of Persil, then remove the larger bottle. I also found an old set of measuring spoons that contained a dessert spoon - one dessert spoon equals two teaspoons (about 10ml). The combo saved me from the laundry scare.
