Review on Stylish and Comfortable pediped Flex Estella Mary Jane Shoes for Toddlers and Little Kids by Josh Schweitzer

We LOVE these shoes! My 3 year old daughter is very picky about everything she wears, especially shoes. She wants everything to be girly, shiny, etc. However, I want everything she wears to be totally comfortable and durable so her clothes don't get in the way of her running, climbing and exploring! These shoes make us both very happy, the first pair in a long time. She's been wearing them every day for over two months and they still look amazing. I'm writing this review because I had concerns about durability and appearance in some reviews. However, I was very happy with these shoes on both counts. My daughter spends two hours a day outdoors at her preschool (we live in Florida, although winter is actually our peak playtime) and both of my kids tend to ruin their shoes easily. These are in good condition. The shiny finish looks brand new which is pretty amazing - way better than any of our shiny tom's or stride rites. Rubber socks protect shoes from wear and tear after riding a tricycle. (Many of our boots have cracked toes after a month of riding small bikes and cars on the sidewalk.) The flower is a little worn and frayed, but still looks very nice - not dirty in my opinion. It is attached very securely. They don't look like pristine cosplay shoes right now, but we'd never last two months of tough everyday use in them if I hoped so, and they're actually just as chic and good for casual shoes. looks like everything my daughter needs to wear at this age. She wore them to church yesterday and we got compliments as always. :) I had to wash these shoes thoroughly once when my daughter walked on potting soil for an hour while these shoes were new. :PI used a washcloth and mild detergent. Everything was perfectly cleaned, even the flower. Other reviewers have commented that they don't work without socks and I agree that the silver pieces will be a bit rough. But my kids wear socks almost every day, even in our hot Florida summer, because walking barefoot on the playground mulch isn't fun. I see Pediped showing her without socks, which again I don't think would work well. We had the same problem with our tom's sequin shoes - the edges were too rough to wear without socks. For a shoe that's both beautiful and geared for hard play, this is definitely the shoe for you. My daughter easily stumbles when her shoes are not very good and she is always strong in them. In her words, "My shoes are beautiful, amazing and fast!" She likes silver because she's sure Elsa would wear it. :) Glitter has an almost iridescent reflection as it catches the light, which she finds magical. These shoes are another big win for us from Pediped, my favorite supplier of sturdy, adorable shoes for my daughter. I like flexible sizing - you can use the small foam while the shoe is still in the large size so you can order a slightly larger size than normal and get more wear out of them. For what it's worth, I also really appreciate that Pediped is part of the Fair Labor Association.
