This frother is well made. It has a glass mug with a rubber bottom. The foam sieve is made of plastic. The jar has a "Max Fill" line for ease of use. You add your milk product - I've used 2.5% with excellent results - insert the plunger/cap assembly and run the plunger for 10-15 seconds, or until the milk volume has doubled. You can use this foam as is, or like I did, microwave it for about 30-60 seconds (depending on your microwave - don't overcook) to build up the volume and "set" the foam. Prepares a cup of delicious and rich coffee. My wife adds sugar and/or flavored syrup to the milk before frothing with great results. One caveat: the glass tumbler isn't attached to the rubber base. The first time I cleaned the blower, I held it by the base while rinsing the outside. The glass came loose and shattered in my sink. my fault The bottom appears to be firm but comes off easily when wet. I've since bought two more, one to replace a broken one at home and one for work. good price. You can't go wrong here. *****Update***** I broke 3 of these. Only the glass is so thin. I don't treat her harshly. I started buying a heavier 15 ounce BonJour Coffee Caffe Froth jar to replace my broken Norpros. They fit the same and are much heavier glass. I am reducing my rating to 4 stars.
