Installed this lamp in my Mitsubishi 73" DLP TV (WD-73C11) about a week ago with no problems. Packaging was secure as was like the product. There is almost no difference in build quality between this and the original OEM lamp it replaced. The instructions were minimal to say the least, but installing any of these things doesn't require much attention as long as it's the lamp body has who did it and was the reason I bought it.If you are trying to save some money by just buying a bare bulb I wouldn't recommend it.Really sucks if the bulb explodes on you or your case is melting because it wasn't installed/cleaned properly.Remember this isn't rocket science or anything just to easily mess up IMO They also contain mercury, so make sure you dispose of them properly and don't just throw them in the trash./////// //// ////2013-07-22 Continued: So far so good. I've noticed that this lamp takes a little longer to warm up and produce a brighter image than my old lamp, but that's normal. Reading about these DLP TVs it seems that generally if you turn down the contrast you will significantly increase lamp life. I think I'll find out how to do it.
