You gotta love GLOW!

With my very first 3D printer, I could only print in ABS. Back then I often printed with Glow ABS. The kids seemed very intrigued by the glow-in-the-dark items and they were selling very well at the time. I've been looking for PLA in Glow for a long time and the only items I found were way too expensive for my liking. Then I came across the glow in the dark ISANMATE thread and decided to give it a try. When the box arrived and I opened it, I saw the same quality packaging I always see with ISANMATE filament, a sturdy box with a nicely wrapped spool of filament. It only took a few minutes to take it out of the box and it was ready to print. I really appreciate the quality of the filament winding. Good even strands shows that ISANMATE takes the time to get it right the first time. I usually do a test print without running Temp Tower just to see how the filament prints with "default settings". Benchy prints beautifully on my MK3s. Once the print was complete I left it on the bed to cool and bathe in the light. Then I turned off the light to see how visible the glow would be. Some filaments I've tried in the past had very little luster and it was difficult to take photos without additional lighting. Not for this thread, these pics are straight from my phone. A slight stretch is visible, but a few extra degrees of heat correct this and then they're perfect. The last image is what 3D printing is all about. Our old Christmas tree star died and we had to buy a new one. The star came with an awful mount that looked like it was made out of the top of a milk carton. As tall as our tree, a star will never fit on this stupid mount. I took a crowbar from an old star and tested it. The "chip clip" design is great and allows you to mount the star lower on the tree thus clearing the ceiling. The mount had a green tube on top that matched the old star but didn't fit the new one, it was larger. After 15 minutes in modeling software and 30 minutes of printing, the new star was on the tree. The glowing filament isn't as white/white as the star, but it's hidden in the tree and you'll never notice it. If you need to glow try this thread!
