I bought them to wash dishes. The website is perfect for my purposes. Everything quickly returns to normal. I left the spare gray unattended. My daughter tells me (and now she can keep it to herself) that they are also suitable for car hand washing. She uses the soft terry cloth side for most of her cars and then the mesh side to clean the hard areas at the front of the car, around the tires and windshield parts. It's hard enough to remove road grime and insects, but soft enough not to scratch paintwork. Sponges are not only resilient because they are meant to be cleaned, but they are also durable. I'm glad I have these wonderful multipurpose sponges.
