The stand was easy to assemble. I really like the design of the stand, it's very durable. It really helps keep my computer area from looking cluttered with papers and clutter. The main shelf of the stand sits above the work area so I can hide (hide) the papers underneath until I decide/need to work with it. Slotted drawers on each side are adjustable. On the one hand, I use baskets to store the "things” that I use regularly (pens, pencils, markers, tape measure…). On the other side I removed the wooden dividers to accommodate letters and bills that need to be processed. The two drawers are perfect for hiding odds and ends, phone/computer cables. The "indentations" at the top, which I use for my "favourite" pens and pencils, an eraser... are very practical. I now use the narrower slot for flash drives and business cards for the people I deal with. One of the main reasons I chose this stand was the fact that my monitor is HEAVY; and this stand has no problem holding weight. I can move my desk/cart without fear of the monitor falling. With other stands/shelves, I've noticed that some "flex" with the weight of the monitor. This stand is very well designed and works great. I also like the artisanal finish, it gives it a hand made feel rather than a mass produced machine finish. I highly recommend this item.
