Review on πŸ’ͺ Enhanced Performance SanDisk 64GB Extreme Go USB 3.1 Flash Drive - SDCZ800-064G-G46 by Shree Carmean

You get what you pay for

Some reviews give low marks because the SanDisk Extreme Go is a continuation of a previous generation device that performed better. You're overlooking the fact that there are currently two different SanDisk Extreme memory keychains on sale: Go and Pro. The Opinion is fast enough to be branded "Extreme," even if it's not as extreme as the Pro device. I'll preface that I'm dissatisfied because I was in a hurry to make the purchase and only after the order shipped did I realize there were two options - and for the price, frankly, it's not worth returning the price difference . Perfomance. However, depending on long-term reliability, I will buy a more expensive device in the future. In any case, the test screenshots speak for themselves. Note that the second FlashBench screenshot shows Go's performance compared to a 32GB HP x702w that I also own. And before I am accused of bias, I would like to point out that what HP did is several years old now, it was connected to my Linksys WiFi router (for which it served as primary storage) for years and only claims to be compatible to be with USB 3.0 first. My goal for this comparison was to show how Go fits into an existing keychain that you may already own or have had for a while. Since FlashBench reuses the same read/write colors, I notice that the HP results below are represented by thicker lines, while the Go performance results are represented by thinner dotted lines. I will also post the actual results (visible in the text box) at the end of this review, assuming I haven't run out of space. Since different hardware can produce different results, I should mention that these tests were performed on the Alienware R17 M4, which is based on the Intel Skylake architecture and uses an Intel i7-6700HQ as the processor. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. If you picked the Go device -- even if you accidentally didn't know it wasn't the fastest USB drive SanDisk was selling at the time -- please understand that SanDisk is hardly to blame. If you want the fastest drive and have already (recently) bought it, return it for a refund and get a (slightly) more expensive Pro. In my opinion, this (cheaper) device performs well enough to justify the difference in categorization and price. refresher devices. refresher devices.
