The flashlight fitted my standard 55 gallon fuel tank almost perfectly. The real surprise came when I turned it on. It was breathtaking; the light was sharp, clear, and bright. It overshadowed the old fluorescent lighting. To be honest, I didn't even bother with the blue/night light mode, dismissing it as a novelty. But since I've been using this lamp, I find the blue light pleasant. It's also great for watching nocturnal bottom feeders at work while other fish sleep. It's like getting a bonus light. A toggle switch on the cable allows easy switching between blue and white modes. So if you're looking for an inexpensive replacement aquarium light that doesn't have a lot of unnecessary frills, then I don't think you can go wrong with this one. highlighted.
