Great product for fish and aquatic animals

No timer. 2 screws were missing, tiny metric screws. Some assembly was required, this would be easy if the flat bar aligned with the slot and 2 screws were not missing. After a little fiddling and a trip to the hardware store, everything worked. It's light. If it lasts a few years without problems, then I like it.

Pros
  • Testers give high marks for hold and durability
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Small light - big light

WOW! This little flashlight makes a lot of light. I added this to my 46 gallon cube as an extra, but it might actually be too much light when there's a shimmery thing like that, not something you'd get from high-end bulbs, but good nonetheless. I haven't checked the PAR rating yet, but it's definitely an output of 10,000K with the whites on and has the right amount of blue for a nighttime look when my corals and green bubble anemones are glowing. I can't say if this helps coral growth, but it's

Cheap, works well, badly packaged twice

This light was the only 72 inch LED aquarium light I could find. The price of $159 was very good, but it's not the brightest compared to other lights I've had. .(My Coralife LED is great.) The packaging for this light is ridiculous. The first mount that came was missing clips and cracked at the end (still works) but it was clearly a return sent to me. had the same poor packaging (see photo) and also has a small damaged spot on the end (see last photo) but I will keep it anyway. .

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Nothing here

Good light good value for money

I have this on a 180 gallon (72 inch diameter) tank and the actual light extends almost the entire width and provides good coverage even at the ends. I don't have tops on this tank so the lantern is hung above the water and relies on adjustable brackets to keep it dry. The lantern sags towards the middle, but it's handy for me that it doesn't fall into the water. To be honest I wouldn't trust mounts on anything wider than 72 inches, once you stretch them there is considerable latitude allowing…

Great replacement for an aging fluorescent hood

I recently set up my 29 year old aquarium after a 16 year hiatus. While the old fluorescent tube was technically still working, one of the ballasts had failed and had to be replaced. Instead of trying to keep the old lighting alive, I decided to check out some of the new LED offerings. The pet store had a $300 model that connected to your phone, had a built-in schedule, and could simulate a thunderstorm. I don't need any of this. I needed a simple and affordable LED light that could be…

Bright and light LED panel.

It's been a while since I've bought an aquarium light - no doubt before the widespread LED era, and when my 48 inch fluorescent light finally used up its last spare ballast I started to look for new headlights. It seemed like a smart choice and hit the spot when comparing size, brightness and cost. I have 75 gallons which is 48 inches long. This light covers the entire length. If your tank was longer, metal brackets are included to keep the light on longer. if you didn't have a glass tabletop…

  • Finally bought
