I feel like anyone who does a lot of work outdoors whether you're a contractor or handyman will need a reflective vest or shirt. It's simply safer and allows you to be more visible under any circumstance regardless of lighting. After all, protecting yourself should come first. Now that I'm off my soap box, let's talk about the safety vest. The one I chose was the bright orange with grey outlines. Both the orange and the grey areas of the vest are reflective when light is aimed towards the vest. The medium size I got fits perfect for me at 5'10. It's secured with one strip of velcro in the front middle section. Through my one gripe about the vest is that the quality feels a little bit on the cheap side. As you can see in my photos attached, there's some loose stitching before I even wore it. I don't see this vest handling many cycles in the washer if one were to wash this once a week. The vest is also very thin but this might be good for those working outdoors and don't want anything too heavy or warm. Overall, I think the reflective material is very good but I question the durability. Only time will tell but loose stitching isn't a good first impression.
