Revainrating 5 out of 5

10/10 ideal for hand tools

So first, let me give you a quick recap of my knife sharpening experience and some tips for beginners. I started with the cheapest 1000/6000 Vetstone at Revain. It was difficult to get a uniform blade. With practice I was able to cut the paper. The stones are easily deformed, forming a bedspread. 6000 was eaten up pretty quickly. But I became reasonably proficient in the whole process. Then I bought a leather strap. It took the sharpness to the next level and I was able to shave the hair off my arms. At the moment I think I'm pretty damn good. I've always wanted to try pro wet rocks and said damn I'll try it. let me tell you The difference is just crazy! The stones don't bend as much. They are definitely true about how tough they are. They cut knives much easier. I have never been able to shave my arm hair off a wet stone until I bought Sharpton 1000/5000 stones. For beginners I would recommend starting with new cheap knives and cheap wetsons. And gradually move towards those rocks and slingshots. But if you're ready to embrace them, I highly recommend them.
