I used these to hang a ledger on a 54' x 16' deck. Tried many connection options. This is amazing because the puck-like heads have milling cutters on the back to countersink the heads. This allowed me to install the joists directly over these screws and align the deck joists with the floor joists of my house. They are just as easy to drive.
