I bought this cable in August 2019. Sometimes the monitor loses connection and I have to reconnect the cable and it will be back to normal. It was rare for the first few months, maybe once every 2-3 days, which I could handle. Over time this happened more and more often. Now it happens multiple times a day which drives me crazy. I also notice that there is a buzzing noise while working, which also greatly distracts me from work.
