Really gives a Shiny Coat

Started purchasing for my 20yr old cat. I think it was the only food (that I purchased) that she could smell so she had no problems eating it. I would have gotten the one for elderly cats but I also had 2 kittens to contend with. So I settled with this one as a compromise. They all loved it - but the smell can be horrid for humans. My older cat died so I started purchasing a cheaper-box store brand for the other 2. BIG Mistake. After a month of the cheap food, it's very evident that Royal Canin is a much better product. Their coats aren't as shiny as they were. In fact, they look dusty.I think I'll shell out the extra bucks -- if the food makes their outsides look good, makes me think it's probably making their insides look good too.Side note: It was on sale(?) back in July 2014 for $17.88. The dates were good and no cans were dented. Hope they get that distributor again.

Pros
  • Gluten-free and grain-free for cats with food sensitivities
Cons
  • The food may be over-processed or contain artificial fillers
