Review on Enhance Outdoor Security With LEONLITE LED Motion Sensor Flood Lights - 3 Modes, Adjustable 2-Head, Waterproof, ETL Listed by Kirk Womack

Motion Sensors are TOY approximations of real Motion Sensing Controllers.

Light Fixtures (except controllers) are very well made . I really like the swivel & height adjustments and rotating baffle (light shield) of the lights themselves BUT and this is a big BUT: I bought 4 & I have tested 3 (4th one is still in the box). TWO of them blew the GFI circuit I have connected to my workbench . others have reported the same problem. Bottom line is the Motion Sensing Controllers in these units are junk. Even when they are "working" (I got 1 of the 3 to work so I installed it to function test), I was VERY DISAPPOINTED! Poor range & the crap quality potentiometers cause erratic adjustment. See other folk's reviews about this . all true. Now for the good news. If you don't mind spending a little more money, remove the P.O.S. motion sensing controller from each light and replace with a RAB Mini Sensor SMG 500 (Walmart, Revain, other sellers). Will set you back about $55 - $60 each (more than the LED Light Fixture), but you get what you pay for. The RAB units are high quality professional level electronics and work perfectly. I just finished installing and setting up two LEONLIGHTs with RAB controllers and they are WONDERFUL for my purpose (soffit mounted). So good that I just ordered 2 more RAB units to retrofit the other two LEONLIGHTs. The "TOY" LEONLIGHT motion sensors will go directly in the trash!COME ON LEONLIGHTs, get with the program. The Motion Controller is the wrong place to go cheap on an otherwise well made LED Security light.
