It heats up when charging the laptop above it, otherwise it works fine.

My Pixelbook now has regular USB ports and an external display. I leave the adapter at home and it's nice to unplug so I can take my computer with me. Then when I get home I plug this thing in and plug in my keyboard, mouse, secondary display and power. It gets very hot when charging for a long time. Not too hot to touch, but almost. I added two 90 degree Type-C adapters, now it sits behind my laptop, out of place. Sometimes I wish it had audio, ethernet, other HDMI or more USB ports. Sometimes you want cheaper. But the port selection is just great and the price is competitive. After several months of use, I can say that it has never let me down.
