I wanted to connect this humidifier to a Wemo Smart Socket. But every time my Wemo turns this unit off and then back on, it stays off. It doesn't seem to remember the last power state, and every time it loses power it reverts to the off state. Otherwise it is well made and looks nice. The light is dimmed which is good if you plan to use it in the bedroom. I need to replace it with one that can be used with remote control sockets like Wemo.
