Lack of attention to detail
The railing seems fine, strong enough. The instructions aren't very good and the anchors aren't very good, but they work if you're very careful not to make a bigger or deeper hole than necessary. I made a bracket which I think should come with instructions for hole placement (see photo). This gave me a good lace pattern so I could make it perfect.
