This is a slightly modified version of the MacroSilicon USB capture device. I have a non-60fps version that works great for the price. In comparison, it is an earlier version despite the higher price. Here's the skinny: * Works the same as v4l2 (x86 or armhf) on Linux as the other version * Not USB 3.0, the blue connector doesn't make it 3.0 ( lsusb lists it as a 480M device) - wrong product name. Same USB Vendor (534d) and Product ID (2109) as the 30FPS version I have.* Using cam2web to determine MJPEG capture performance - 1080p@30 source* Once we hit 1080p (1920x1080), the recording performance is terrible - very much from freezes. On the contrary, 30 FPS works fine. Most lower resolutions are fine. * Verification with gstreamer shows this adapter claims 1080p@60 for image/JPEG, Video/X-Raw capabilities are advertised as equal. Conclusion: hands off this adapter! mine is going back
