Glad to find this product. The item arrived with a torn foot pad. This, of course, causes hesitation. Luckily I found it in the box. There are only two small dabs of glue holding them in place. I used epoxy for the repair. Hope the others hold out. The legs are made of plastic and are attached with 4 screws each. There are many twists and turns here. It is used as a stage prop, so such repairs are irrelevant. A few more points. A large Sylvania logo is printed on the red felt lining of the inner lid. This is not visible in the Amazon product photo. I need to re-line this with new felt for my use. Each leg extension is locked into place by twisting the two leg pieces together. Each leg has a sticker with these instructions. They are very difficult to remove and you will need a swipe and scraper to remove the sticky label. Can't comment on the feature as we won't be using it for music, but the legs, quality control and imaging seem to be lacking. If I had bought it for personal use I would return it.
