While some people can easily mimic product videos, I found the learning curve to operate this tool too steep. Obviously it works like a charm because the device has the exact same as the video. I ordered it to make a large batch for an event and after some frustrating trials and tweaks on the technique I got back to my hands. I used a popular brand of cooked tamale masa that comes in a large tub, maybe the masa needs to be wetter or drier. Maybe I'll try again when I have more time to experiment or when I make my own dough. My advice: only buy it if you have time to experiment with technique and mask.
