My husband and I started making tamales for our family reunion. I read a lot of recipes and watched You Tube. Collected information, made and presented our tamales with very good reviews. :-) Now I needed practice in roll/speed. On my quest for awesome tamales, I found this masa spreader tutorial on YouTube from the inventor. It was the ticket to consistent, fast, and beautiful tamales. We did great. We made over 100 tamales, 1/2 times less than last year. Good device!

I, a Gringa relative, wanted to learn how to make tamales, so I helped prepare them the traditional way with the back of a spoon. I could never get it and even tried it by myself at home, it took HOURS to make 2 dozen. My new spreader arrived today and quickly spread the masa and harvested the tamales. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! While some people can easily mimic product videos, I found the learning curve to operate this tool too steep. Obviously it works like a charm because the device has the exact same as the video. I ordered it to make a large batch for an event and after some frustrating trials and tweaks on the technique I got back to my hands.
