Review on 2.2W Solar Bird Bath Fountain Pump With 4 Nozzles - Mademax Outdoor Garden Pond Pool Fish Tank Water Feature by Kurt Ahui

This fountain was easy to assemble and worked right away. Like other reviewers, I appreciate the 4 spacers to keep the fountain centered in the bird bath, and removed the spray attachment because a breeze blows the spray away and I was refilling the bath 3 times a day. I would have given this more stars, but I bought this because of the "water-shortage protection function” stated in the product description. Although there was no explanation included of exactly what this function did when water shortage was detected, I thought the most likely response would be for the pump to shut off. This was put to the test when I tried to go an extra day (with no fountain tip attached, the water was lasting a day). This morning I went outside to see what was making an unpleasant buzzing noise, and found it was this fountain. When summer heat arrives, I won’t be using this fountain as the water will probably dry up pretty fast. Meanwhile I will look for a fountain that shuts off when there is no water, or just use the bird bath without one.
