I bought this deck to replace the larger 15" deck I bought in 2015. This item is perfect for travel. It's lightweight and super thin. It fits perfectly in large bags and medium-sized backpacks. I always took it with me and it offered extra space on an airplane table, as a lap table in the car and an ultra-lightweight option for the home. This time I went for a smaller deck as I now have a 13" computer and my old one is understandably worn around the edges. I'm honestly surprised that my old deck is still in such great condition. Two tips if you're going to be using it for a few hours: (a) a light jacket or throw a blanket below deck to protect your knees from discomfort as it's not padded; and (b) rubber material and stitched edges may cause irritation. However, it's not designed to be user-friendly for as long as I use it. As an added bonus, the non-slip rubber material is also handy for keeping your belongings in place.
