My back porch has a wooden ramp originally made for an arthritic St. Bernard dog and covered with artificial grass. The St. Bernard and the lawn are long gone, leaving a smooth wooden surface. I didn't want to do a full rebuild as we will be doing a major overhaul soon, but it had to be done to avoid a major crash and fire. I laid 3 strips along the slope. The wood is worn and not very smooth and I was afraid it wouldn't stick, but so far so good. For about 2 months he was in an area with very heavy human and dog traffic. It hasn't rained yet so I'm not sure if that could be a problem. It was very easy to drop him off. It's sticky, but not so sticky that you can't change its position until you press firmly on it. I made 10 foot strips by simply unrolling the line I was drawing and gently squeezing it until I was sure it was where I wanted it and then running my hands over it a few times, to make sure she was stuck. Well if he lasts I'd say he's perfect! So far no signs of wear or adhesions.
