I'm in my 60's with combination/acne-prone/large pores/hyperpigmented skin. What's great is that I'm a bit oily as the wrinkles aren't visible. However, dark spots and enlarged pores are very noticeable to me. I'm switching between the Differin and Cerave skincare lines and I'm very happy with the results I've had with both lines. I think my skin gets resistant to products after a while, so I'm switching up a bit. (I have the same with shampoos). This is not a Retin-A product. This is Retinol, which is less potent than Retin-A. I like it because I believe it helps to unclog and lighten pores. I can see that the dark spots are definitely getting lighter, which makes me very happy. This is a beneficial addition to my anti-aging skincare routine. I really notice a difference on my neck where there is so much discoloration on the sides. While it may not be this specific product as it is part of my skincare routine and not the only product I use, I think it helps overall. I don't have any burning, itching or redness, which is also a plus. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
