definitely separates the water
There is always some gas at the bottom which is annoying, they have to have a little ledge at the bottom to let the last 1/4 ounce of liquid through. Just put the tie in the hole and hang it over the grommet for next use. Separates water and dirt well, flows down very quickly. -1 star for not 100% drainage
