Assembled per instructions. In the last phase, the screw holes on the side rails did not match. I tried all loose screws first, then tightened and even loosened again. The mounting holes for the rails never matched. We let my son use it without the side rails. Luckily he had no problems with falling out. We ordered it very early to make sure we'd have it on hand when the day came when his crib didn't cut him anymore. When we finished building, the return window was definitely closed. We have not yet contacted Delta directly, but this is an option. I'm not sure what they would be willing to do to help us. Side rails aside, my son loves his new bed. We fought sleep regression with his crib. With all his favorite and other well-known characters on his bed, he usually looks forward to going to bed. We've given up the fight for sleep, but going to bed is easier than falling asleep and being carried to bed. There's nothing more adorable than a toddler running to her bed, snuggling into her and announcing "almost soon."
