Standard bed mattress fits perfectly! Someone wrote here that they can't place it, if you place it evenly then it will fit. Eventually an edge wouldn't go in, but you just need to lift the side that's already there so it's more even and tight. The assembly took some time. Assembled per instructions. In the last phase, the screw holes on the side rails did not match. I tried all loose screws first, then tightened and even loosened again. The mounting holes for the rails never matched. We let my son use it without the side rails. Luckily he had no problems with falling out. My son was very happy when he got this for his birthday. Everything came in a box about 3 meters high. It comes with detailed instructions and all the tools you need to assemble it, including an Allen key. Instructions were very clear to read. There are decals that you put on the outside of the 'headboard', make sure you put them on facing the edge of the bed. I made that mistake lol. If you don't have bunk boards, slatted frames or someone to cut wood for you, don't take this bed. However, if you have the opportunity to have any of the above, the bed is great. My dad was able to make some slats and planks that made the bed 100 feet longer. Without support, the mattress will be poorly supported and your child will suffer, especially if a foam mattress is used. With support, I can confidently lie on the bed with my son.
