I got an XL and it fit me as expected. I'm 5'9" and the dress was above my ankles but had two beautiful slits on the side. The off the shoulder ruffles made the dress feminine and have a very soft look. Overall I'm highly satisfied with this dress and it was comfortable. Another benefit of this dress is that you can dress it up or down depending on where you are going. I wore this to an above average steakhouse and I looked dressy enough.The only cons about this dress is that:1. The color wasn't as deep red/wine as I expected.2. The material was slightly thin so make sure to wear neutral under-garments.3. The elastic fell above my natural waistline but it was NOT right under the bust so it was good enough.****For all my plus size sisters, go ahead and buy this dress. It is flattering*****
