At $30 it's right. I have bought 3 car hammock covers over the years, this is the newest. What the straps are made of, polyester or something else I don't know, but they quickly disintegrate in heat or direct sunlight on the rear window. Every time I fix it with paracord. I've had the same problem with every car hammock I've bought. I live in Southern California. I leave the hammock in the car all the time because it's just me and my dog, no kids. When the car is stationary, the interior can be hot. (Not with my dog there! Front.) So all these hammocks collapsed quickly. Although the paracord will hold. I will buy a better quality hammock for my dog machine from a more expensive supplier and hope the straps will last longer. Don't really complain, that's it. just be honest With several trips to the dog park per week and many trips to the beach, my seats have looked like new for years.
