I've spent months looking for the best scratching post for the money. Carpeted platforms get dirty too quickly and cannot be repaired or cleaned. It's very difficult to find scratching posts without a carpet, otherwise they don't look like terrible cat furniture. This simple design is perfect for my tree climbing kitty and she loves it! I'll be staining and sealing the wood this summer, but for now a few quilt cuts work just fine! Assembly is ridiculously easy and there is an option to customize them so they don't advertise. I was able to make it work better in the room it's in, and I can change it later if she gets bored. It's also worth noting that this item was packaged very poorly by a third party. It came in the original manufacturer's packaging, which is only intended for transport on a pallet. The items in this box have absolutely no protection and the wood is very soft so check for dents and damage. Luckily the seller was really good at it as I reported the case, took photos and quickly resolved the issue. I hope they do better packaging after this incident as it is such a great product.
