Not your typical model magic clay!

This isn't off-brand "model magic," as I assumed. It's like a cross between model magic and silly putty. It starts out oddly fluffy but a bit wet and slimy feeling (not in a bad way, as those who love slime can attest!) After a few minutes of being handled, it did firm up. It was kind of reminiscent of the old DIY oobleck effect, but way less messy! My 5 and 3 year olds had a great time with it, but it was a bit messier than I had expected. It stretches like silly putty does, but can be broken into small pieces more easily. I did notice that it stuck in the molds a bit more than play-doh does. We did not try air-drying it yet. The set came with little zip-lock bags so we could save it for another day!*I received a rebate for this product, but my review is entirely honest.

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Some kids may lose interest in the kit quickly if they don't find the materials or projects exciting enough
