I love this kitchen tool! Since buying it, I've included more tofu dishes in my diet because it's easier to cook overnight than in a pan filled with a glass. porous and easier to work with - basically it absorbs your marinade better, making it crispier and chewy. I thaw the tofu overnight, drain the water, and then use the press for about an hour. The result is a flat, cracked, dried tofu bread that's ready to cook! What I like about this device is that it doesn't get dirty. The water flows into a separate tub, so all you have to do is pour it out. The only thing that confuses me is that this device contains thick rubber bands for applying pressure. I've snapped my fingers a few times and it's hard to use, especially when I have long nails. I'm only concerned about the durability of the hardware as it's an expensive piece of plastic. Also, I am very happy with the convenience of this tofu press and I hope it will last a very long time.
