Description of Tofuture's Tofu Press: Your Ultimate Solution for Perfectly Pressed Tofu Transformation

This unique Tofu Press design allows you to leave your Tofu pressing in the fridge without having to return to it to increase the pressure. The water collects in the outer container, so it is mess-free with no need for paper towels. Tofuture’s Tofu Press was designed and patented by Tofu-Lovers in the UK. Tofu is a fantastic, low-fat, no-cholesterol, gluten-free source of protein and a nutrient-rich staple in diets all over the world. Shop-bought Tofu often comes in water to keep it fresh, pressing this water out will improve the texture and allow it to absorb flavour. Add food-grade cheesecloth to use the Tofu Press to make your own Homemade Tofu or paneer cheese. Made with top quality, certified for food-use materials and BPA-Free. Vegan and Vegetarian Society Accreditation and SATRA approved. Easy to clean and store and dishwasher safe. In the unlikely event that there are any problems with the press, contact us and we will sort it out.

This tofu press is amazing. Reasonable Price

This tofu press is amazing. The price is reasonable and I bought it with prime right while other presses cost more and their shipping cost is ridiculous ($15 for shipping something less than a pound and is that standard shipping? um, no) . I just squeezed my first block of tofu and within 10 minutes it removed more water than I could remove by wrapping my tofu in paper towels and squeezing between plates, weighted books, and glasses for an hour. The tight fit around the tofu prevents the block…

it met all my expectations

Searching on Revain gave several options. This press looked promising in comparison. Using it daily now, it has met all my expectations. Tofu, dry, put in a press and set tension, leave in the fridge overnight. My photo compares before and after pressing. Firmness varies from brand of tofu. I don't enjoy making a "flesh" clone. However, texture and palette are key. Selection. An overnight vacuum marinade seems to offer many options, and then a "fryer" for a cook without oil. This press is part…

Unusable and very very small

I was surprised how tiny the tofu press is. It's also inefficient and difficult to use. I tried it, but quickly found that my own method of squeezing tofu was much more effective. Here's how I do:* Tofu is best drained by freezing it first, then thawing it on paper towels to soak. up the water. You don't have to freeze it. It just helps.* Whether you freeze it or not, take a plate or cutting board and line it with kitchen paper.* Place the tofu on the kitchen towels and place another layer on…

Breaks too easily

**8 month update: To be honest, I can only give this tofu press one star. It's really good in theory. However, the plastic clips simply popped out due to plastic fatigue. I can't really fix them so they don't jump out and fly around the kitchen. ** I'm tired of squeezing tofu with books, paper towels and/or kitchen towels. I figured there must be a better way. At first, this tofu press worked great! You'll start tightening the rubber bands from the top notch and then work your way down while…

I love the convenience of this press!

I love this kitchen tool! Since buying it, I've included more tofu dishes in my diet because it's easier to cook overnight than in a pan filled with a glass. porous and easier to work with - basically it absorbs your marinade better, making it crispier and chewy. I thaw the tofu overnight, drain the water, and then use the press for about an hour. The result is a flat, cracked, dried tofu bread that's ready to cook! What I like about this device is that it doesn't get dirty. The water flows…

I wanted to love it (updated: and now I love it!)

I've been contemplating for months whether I should spend $30 on something I already have with a baking sheet, kitchen towel and a stovetop weighing of five pounds. This method works well enough, but you can do more laundry and take up more space. I finally bought it to simplify my kitchen a bit. I *really* regret spending $30. I haven't even gotten a single use of it. The first time I tried to slide the handles down, the bracket holding them in place broke off and flew through the air. Now my…

Takes up less space in my fridge

. I'm glad I found this item. I used things in the kitchen to squeeze the tofu, which is great because it's free, but my methods were taking up too much room in my fridge. I find it much more convenient. You can leave it overnight or use it after a few hours. I noticed that a lot of liquid is pushed out at once. In one review they said they turn their tofu into a complete mush. Not sure if they put tiny cubes in or if they squeezed too much into the size of the block of tofu used because mine…

Update and comparison with two other tofu presses

Update 10/23/21: Still works like a charm. No wear problems. First Review: For anyone interested in comparing this tofu press to two others sold at Revain, here is my opinion. I'm not crazy about the tofu press - it looks like two little cutting boards with wing nuts and compression springs. It manages to remove the water but mashes my tofu and leaves cracks. No bueno if you want to cut nice little squares or waffles out of pressed tofu at the end. It also needs a plate underneath to catch the…
