Review on πŸ”₯ BLACK DECKER HG1300 Dual Temperature Heat Gun by Brian Trotter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good heat gun - welding and soldering

Let me start by correcting some bad reviews due to 'human error'. Firstly, the cleaning switch cover is in place as a precautionary measure to prevent the unit from being accidentally turned on. It is very soft and pliable and requires the strength of children's fingers to turn it on. So if you claim that you can't turn on the device with the switch cover on, you haven't even tried to put your finger on the switch cover. Just. Press. Es.Second: He has a boner. Simply rotate the wire stand on the handle 90 degrees and flip the gun on its back. Boom! The gun will stand up on its own with the heating element pointing straight up and out of contact. Finally: THIS IS A NEW TOOL! As soon as you switch it on, you can smell the initial burnout! Just like if you didn't fire up that old stove in your house for 3 months in a row, for the first few minutes you turn the stove back on, you will smell burning dust, etc. PRO TIP: After unpacking, plug in the power and 2 full minutes straight switch to HIGH. Then IMMEDIATELY tow LOW for 2 full, uninterrupted minutes. Then turn off and let cool. After that you can get down to business. Heats well, handles well and the price is right. Gave 4 stars due to lack of handpiece attachments and the low setting creates too much airflow.

Pros
  • Built in stand for easy cooling
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
