Prevents cleaning, cheap, breaks within months

I really, really like this fan. I have bought and owned two of these (both brand new). The first fan served for several years, and initially I had no complaints. However, as is often the case with fans, dust accumulated on the entire blade inside the assembly. The dust had grown too thick to blow off with compressed air. I searched online for information on how to disassemble the unit for cleaning and was shocked to find that these fans were specifically designed to prevent disassembly for cleaning. The advice I found online was to just not worry. Since my fan was so dusty that it barely worked (after a few years of use), I decided to give it a try anyway. Removing the screws from the assembly will leave the plastic pins in place, so the only way to gain access to the inner wing is to break the pins and the fan assembly itself. After destroying the first fan, I ordered a new one hoping to clean it regularly to avoid the same problem. The fuse in the power supply blew after 2 months of use. I replaced it with some new fuses, the fan never came on again. Now I'm done with this company. Save money and buy a cheaper fan that can be cleaned and maintained. These fans work great when they're working, but once dust collects on them, they belong in the trash. Don't pay that much money for a disposable tower fan.
