They are small and not designed for walking around town.

These shoes run small and have less cushioning than other Keen shoes I've had. I typically walk 10-15 miles a day on trips and they are not designed for this level of activity. I assumed "water sandals" meant waterproof. In fact, they are great for walking on the beach, in streams, or on muddy ground.
