I'm working on a project where I've bought over 30 flash drives of all sizes over the past few months. I bought a SanDisk, a Samsung, a couple of TEAMGROUPs and three Transcend sticks. I can honestly say that the Transcend drives I've received are iffy at best. I just threw all 3 in the trash! I've never been able to get them to do anything reliably. Sometimes the computer recognized them, sometimes not. Sometimes I could text them, and other times the recording just slowed down and never ended. I've tried different formats (ext4, HFS+, NTFS, fat32, etc.) and have had problems with these flash drives no matter what. None of my other drives had any problems - just Transcend's. If I had to guess, I'd say they were cheap fakes because that's how they behaved every time I used them. bottom line; I can't even trust them with temporary data as my work project requires it. Maybe I have 3 bad ones. Although I would say not to risk it. Avoid those flash drives!
